This one-day clinic is designed for green horses needing further education, confidence and consistency in their training. The focus is on developing a clear understanding between horse and rider and giving owners practical tools they can continue using at home.
Each clinic is tailored to the individual horses and participants, with the content adjusted to suit their current level of training, experience and the areas they’re looking to develop. The following are some of the key areas we may work through during the day:

What You'll Learn
Ground Foundations
Develop softness, responsiveness and body control from the ground before progressing into the bridle.
You'll learn how to:
- Improve body control
- Increase softness and responsiveness
- Build confidence and understanding
Long Reining
Use long reining to improve communication and prepare your horse for ridden work.
Topics include:
- Softness through the bridle
- Steering and control
- Connection and communication
- Mental and physical preparation
Saddling & Mounting
Create calm, consistent routines before every ride.
We'll cover:
- Correct saddling preparation
- Pre-mounting exercises
- Building patience and relaxation at the mounting block
Under Saddle Training
Learn how to structure productive rides that build confidence, understanding and responsiveness.
We'll cover:
- Starting and finishing each session well
- Effective use of your hands, seat and legs
- Timing, feel and release
- Exercises for green horses
- Building softness, balance and body control
- Creating consistent progress over time
Problem Solving
Work through common challenges green horses experience, including:
- Resistance and tension
- Loss of softness
- Confusion under saddle
- Confidence issues
- Training plateaus
Training Expectations
Understand what realistic progress looks like and how to develop your horse without rushing the process.
We'll discuss:
- Appropriate session length
