1 Day | LIBERTY FOUNDATIONS

Join Donal Hancock, who has been practising and developing his Liberty horsemanship for over 15 years. In 2021, Donal won the inaugural Australian Liberty competition, bringing years of practical experience and a genuine passion for building connection with horses.

This clinic focuses on the foundational principles of Liberty training, helping horses and handlers develop better communication, timing, feel and connection.

Throughout the clinic, participants will explore how to create willingness, softness and engagement while improving their horse's confidence, focus and responsiveness.

Topics covered include groundwork fundamentals, body control, pressure and release, timing, reward and reading your horse's energy. You'll develop a better understanding of how your horse responds to your cues and how to build communication both on and off the lead.

Liberty training is about far more than simply working your horse without a rope. It's about building a genuine partnership based on trust, understanding and clear communication. The skills developed through Liberty carry across into all areas of horsemanship.

Suitable for horses and handlers of varying experience levels, this clinic is ideal for those beginning their Liberty journey or looking to strengthen their foundations before progressing to more advanced Liberty work.
